Where are you in the process?
The page content adapts to your selection, so you see the options most relevant to you.
Do you know which certificates your situation requires?
The websites of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DVV), parishes and the National Archives explain how to order individual certificates. What they don’t tell you is which certificates your particular situation requires, or how to make sure nothing is missing.
This is exactly what our service is about. We assess your situation, order the right certificates and verify the documents as a whole, so you can trust that the estate inventory, banking matters and official proceedings go smoothly the first time.
Every situation calls for different certificates. Here are some examples:
Do you have all the certificates you need?
You have already ordered some of the official certificates. If you are not sure whether the set is complete, we will find out for you.
If certificates are missing from the genealogy report, the bank will not grant access to the deceased’s accounts and the estate inventory cannot be conducted properly. That is why it pays to make sure everything is in order.
We review what you already have. If something is missing, we order the remaining certificates. If everything is in order, we will let you know that too.
Below are typical situations that may cause certificates to be missing from a genealogy report:
We verify the certificate chain on your behalf
If you have gathered the official certificates yourself and want to make sure the set contains everything that is needed, you can send it to us for review. This gives you the certainty that it meets the requirements of the Tax Administration, banks and the estate inventory.
What does the verification include?
We carefully review every certificate you provide. We check that the deceased’s residential history is documented without gaps from age 15 to the date of death, and that all heirs are correctly identified.
You will typically receive an expert’s assessment of your documents within 1–2 business days. If we find gaps, you will get a clear list of the documents still needed to complete the set.
The deceased may have been a church member for only part of their life. In that case, parish records do not cover the full period, and the missing years must be sourced from other registries.
Not all heirs necessarily belong to the same registry as the deceased. Each one requires their own certificates from the relevant source, and the documents needed vary depending on the person’s situation.
If an heir died before the deceased, their share passes to their children. A separate genealogy report is needed for each deceased heir — and if their heirs have also passed away, the chain continues across generations.
When the deceased had no children, the inheritance passes to the parents or siblings. Each of them requires a separate genealogy report, and for those who have passed away, the report extends to the next generation.
When the deceased lived abroad for part of their life or an heir resides in another country, a foreign jurisdiction becomes involved. The documents are in a foreign language and follow local procedures and processing times.
When an heir renounces their inheritance, their share passes to their children. Separate certificates are needed for both the person renouncing and their children to confirm the rightful heirs.
Some of the oldest records have been transferred from parishes to archives. These follow their own procedures and processing times, and the correct source varies case by case.
“An incomplete genealogy report is usually discovered when the heirs try to gain access to the estate’s bank accounts after the estate inventory. The result is ordering new certificates and weeks of waiting.”
What an incomplete genealogy report causes
How we handle the genealogy report for you
Same price regardless of what you have already ordered
Drawing on hundreds of genealogy reports’ experience, we determine exactly what your situation requires. We limit the order to the certificates your case actually needs.
We order all the necessary certificates at once: from DVV, parishes, archives and, when needed, from Sweden. You do not need to deal with each authority separately.
We review the certificates and make sure there are no gaps in the chain. We verify that the deceased’s life is documented from age 15 to the date of death and that all heirs are correctly identified.
You receive a verified set of documents that banks and the estate inventory administrator accept as is. Nothing needs to be supplemented or assembled after the fact.
€79 regardless of the complexity of the case. A law firm or bank typically charges €150–400 to compile a genealogy report. If you order yourself and certificates are missing, the initial saving disappears into a bank’s or law firm’s review fees and additional orders.
Our service costs €79 regardless of how many certificates you have already ordered yourself. Authority fees only apply to the certificates we order on your behalf.
We provide you with clear bank-specific instructions on how to send the authority fee invoice to the deceased’s bank for payment. If the estate’s assets are insufficient to cover the costs, the responsibility for payment remains with the person who placed the order.

We take care of the entire genealogy report on your behalf:

Three ways to obtain a genealogy report
Estate shareholders typically end up choosing one of these three approaches. Each comes with its own costs and workload.
Even in a straightforward case, certificates are typically ordered from three to five different authorities — in more complex cases, even more. With us, €79 covers the entire package regardless of complexity.
A A law firm or bank handles everything
A professional identifies the relevant authorities, orders the certificates and verifies the unbroken chain.
Ordering and verifying the genealogy report usually carries a separate document procurement fee (approx. €150–400) or is billed on an hourly basis. We do the same work for €79.
B You order the certificates yourself
You save the service fee, but bear the responsibility for completeness yourself.
The estate inventory administrator reviews the documents in any case. A self-compiled set requires more verification work from them, which is reflected directly in the estate inventory bill. If certificates are missing, the initial saving may vanish entirely.
C Order a pre-verified package from us (€79)
We handle the entire process: ordering the certificates and verifying the unbroken chain on your behalf.
If you use an estate inventory administrator, they receive a ready-made set that is accepted as is. This reduces your estate inventory bill. If you handle the estate inventory yourself, you gain peace of mind knowing the genealogy report has been compiled and verified by professionals.

About authority fees
Authority fees are the same regardless of whether you order the documents yourself or through us. They typically range from €135–425 depending on the complexity of the case. All costs are an estate liability and deductible in inheritance taxation.
We provide you with clear bank-specific instructions on how to send the authority fee invoice to the deceased’s bank for payment. If the estate’s assets are insufficient to cover the costs, the responsibility for payment remains with the person who placed the order.
Expertise that removes uncertainty
Throughout our careers, we have helped families compile hundreds of genealogy reports. We know the authorities’ practices and the precise requirements of banks, but we also understand that after losing a loved one, there is a great deal else to take care of. We take full responsibility for the process, so you can trust that every required document is included.
What the €79 service fee covers. You are paying for the work of an inheritance law expert who ensures the genealogy report is complete the first time. Authority fees are the same regardless of who places the order. You pay for expert work, not for ordering.
We compile the full package for you. Authorities such as parishes and DVV provide the requested information, but the responsibility for ensuring completeness often falls on the family. We take care of this for you: we research the situation in advance and assemble individual records into an unbroken certificate chain that is accepted by banks and authorities the first time.
We save your time and energy. We know the actual processing times of each authority and the correct order in which to place requests. We handle all orders simultaneously, which often saves weeks.
We look after the estate’s funds. Thanks to our extensive experience, we limit orders to only those documents that are truly necessary in your situation. This way, no authority fees are spent unnecessarily.
Leave the responsibility for the genealogy report to us. You receive a complete, ready-to-use package and peace of mind.
Place order — €79Answers to your questions
The service fee of €79 (incl. VAT) covers identifying the relevant registries, ordering the official certificates, verifying the unbroken certificate chain and encrypted delivery. Authority fees are invoiced separately at cost and can be sent to the deceased’s bank for payment.
A genealogy report is typically completed in 2–6 weeks. Delivery time depends on authority processing times. We monitor the arrival of documents on your behalf and deliver the completed genealogy report as soon as everything has been gathered and verified.
The estate inventory practitioner always reviews the genealogy report before the inventory. An expert-verified package is quick to approve, but self-ordered certificates must be checked one by one. If anything is missing, the practitioner may end up completing the set themselves, at their own hourly rate.
Authority processing times are the same for everyone, but we know exactly which certificates are needed and where to order them. All requests go to the right places at once.
When ordering on your own, certificates are often requested one at a time as the need becomes clear. Each new request means another waiting period, and the three-month deadline for the estate inventory passes quickly.
